Are your sounds set to load on frame one in the linkage settings? If so uncheck that box and put all your sounds, one keyframe at a time, as events in a movie clip with a blank first frame (so none play). Plop that clip on frame 2 and all the linked sounds will get loaded into memory before the game starts but after the preloader.
